Trek Registration Process
For registration process, please follow the below given steps:
- Navigate the upcoming treks page and choose a trek.
- Fill out the form that appears with all the details and select your date of trek. Then click on Submit now.
- Make the payment online.
Note: – Kindly go through Terms and Conditions of payment.
In case you have booked the wrong date or choose wrong date by mistake for your trek you can either connect with your trek coordinator or you go to the help and support section in your Trek Page and connect on any of the helpline numbers provided to proceed with your date change.
If your booked trek is missing, please drop an email to us at info@trekwithlocal.com or connect with the numbers in the Help and Support section of your Trek Page.
After completion of the registration process & before making payment, we will block your booking for 24 hours. You will have to complete the booking within 24 hours.
TrekwithLocal will contact for a reminder in case booking process/payment not completed within 24 hours. The booking automatically becomes inactive if you do not complete it in even after a reminder from TrekwithLocal .
You can go to enquiry option given just right to the trek you choose and add participants list for the trek and submit the enquiry. TrekwithLocal will reach out to you via Call or email for the confirmation of the request.
The TrekwithLocal team will send a confirmation mail to your e-mail id provided by you while registration. We also will create a WhatsApp group where other trekkers from your group will join in as well to know each other better.
- If the trek group is full, then you will be in the waitlist. This slot will get confirmed only if someone in the group cancels their trek.
- If there is a cancellation in the group, we will send you an email immediately. You’ll be able to make the payment and confirm your trek. You have 24 hours to do this.
- Note: – In case you do not want to be in waiting list, you can submit your enquiry for the trek you choose and the same will be treated as a customized trek. The cost of the customized trek may be different from the price shown as it depends on the number of members registering for trek.
We have a maximum of 4 waitlist slots. The waitlist works on a first-come-first-serve basis.
You don’t have to make a payment to join the waitlist.
Only if there is a cancellation and the slot is allotted to you will you have to make the payment to confirm your trek.
Each trek is different and may include different things in the trek fee. Explore the “Inclusion” section on the relevant trek page.
Generally, Trek fee includes all costs while on the trek, including:
- Accommodation (e.g. tents and/or lodges)
- All meals (simple, nutritious, and vegetarian) (Note: – Non-veg is not provided on any trek)
- Expert trek leaders and support team
- Trekking and safety equipment
- All permits and camping charges
Your fee usually does not include:
- Your equipment, such as your backpack, personal food, shoes, or clothing.
The transportation to and from the basecamp is included in the trek fee, if opted for.
If you are a team of ten members and above, we will waive off the 5% fee of each. If you have such a large group, please write to us before registering.
TrekwithLocal is not registered with Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) for you to avail Special Casual Leave.
Payment concerns
If your transaction has failed, please contact us at info@trekwithlocal.com.
In such a situation, send an email to info@trekwithlocal.com We’ll verify if your payment has been received. If we confirm the payment, your slot will be confirmed right away.
If the payment hasn’t reached us, we recommend waiting for 2-3 days. Typically, it should be refunded to your account during this time. In the rare case that it doesn’t happen, reach out to us at info@trekwithlocal.com. We’ll explore options and assist you as best as we can.
We accept online payments through UPI. We do accept cash payments. We do NOT accept cheque payments.
Yes, we do accept partial payments. You will have to pay 30% of the entire trek fee to confirm your slot and the remaining 70% payment to be done before start of the tour/trek.
We do not have the option of paying for the trek via EMI.
There may be instances where circumstances compel you to abandon a trek midway – be it due to illness, AMS, or sheer exhaustion. It’s a tough situation, and we want you to know that we share your disappointment. However, here’s the silver lining: you’re always welcome to return and complete your adventure.
If you find yourself in such a situation, there’s no need to worry about any additional payment if a large group is undertaking the same trek around your preferred time.
On the flip side, we understand that some treks can capture your heart, prompting a desire to relive the experience, perhaps in a different season. If you ever feel like redoing a trek, go ahead! We appreciate your enthusiasm so much that we offer a special 15% discount for repeating the same trek.
To avail of this offer, simply reach out to your Experience Coordinator via email. They’ll guide you through a unique internal process to register for the trek at the discounted rate. We rarely cancel treks, but unforeseen circumstances like natural calamities, political unrest, government orders, pandemics, or related issues may lead to cancellations. In such cases, we refund your full payment directly to your account.
Write us an email or contact through given numbers on website for cancellation. Kindly go through the cancellation policy before cancelling your trek. If you used a voucher, email your experience coordinator to initiate the process—they’ll guide you through it.
Once you cancel and opt for a refund, the amount will be returned to the same account within 1-2 working days. If you choose a trek voucher, it’ll hit your inbox within an hour and reflect on your Trek Dashboard.
No, if you do not come for the trek, you won’t get refund.
Senior above 50 years & Children
Cold weather is a legitimate concern, but with adequate warm layers, it becomes manageable. Seniors, in particular, may face challenges with their joints—knees, ankles, and shoulders. Therefore, mental and physical preparation is essential for coping with these specific aspects.
Yes, we have had both men and women above the age of 50 who have joined as solo trekkers in our groups.
At TrekwithLocal, we firmly believe in the importance of children participating in treks. The youthful and observant nature of children makes trekking an optimal time to introduce them to the outdoors. During treks, they absorb crucial lessons in resilience, confidence, and leadership, while also developing a sense of responsibility towards the environment.
