    It is a 12 Days and 11 Nights Trek starting from Gangotri to Gangotri .

    Gangotri III Trek: Famous for its challenging ascent, stunning scenery, remote wilderness, cultural immersion, personal growth, and fulfilling mountaineering dreams.

    You can keep extra luggage in the base village for any particular trek. There are no cloak roo charges applicable. Its free of cost.

    If you are going on a trek don’t expect mobile signals. There are few spots on the trails of few treks where you might find a single tower or something but it always depends if that is enough to make a call or not.

    We use portable toilet tents for sanitation needs, as permanent structures may not available. These are dry toilets, so please bring wet wipes or tissue paper for personal hygiene.

    For this trek you just need a day bag to carry during the trek, extra luggage can be left behind at the camp site. Proper bedded swiss tents are available on this trek.

    Start running/walking at least 3-4 Kms everyday.

    If it’s a snow trek a good trekking shoe is mandatory. If you buy a new shoe do walk for few days so that it fits you well and doesn’t leave you with blisters while you trek. If it is a summer trek or post monsoon trek a shoe with good grip and ankle support will do

    It’s a strict no. If you fall sick during the trek due to alcohol consumption H2H has the right to cancel your trek and send you back to base village. No expenses shall be refunded in that case and you will have to pay additional for stay at base village.

    Preparation:

    Arrive in Uttarkashi, a key hub for trekkers and climbers heading to the Gangotri region. Use this day for last-minute preparations and to meet your expedition team.

    Travel to Gangotri:

    Journey from Uttarkashi to Gangotri. The drive is scenic, offering views of the Bhagirathi River and the Himalayas. Prepare for the trek at Gangotri, a sacred town and the gateway to your expedition.

    Acclimatization:

    Spend the day acclimatizing to the altitude in Gangotri. Visit the Gangotri Temple and perform any rituals if you wish. Short hikes around the area can help your body adjust.

    Trek Begins:

    Trek from Gangotri to Nala Camp. This initial leg introduces you to the terrain and helps further acclimatization. Camp overnight at Nala Camp.

    Reach Base Camp:

    Continue from Nala Camp to the base camp of Gangotri III. The route gets steeper and more challenging. Set up the base camp and prepare for the days ahead.

    Rest and Acclimatize:

    Spend another day at base camp acclimatizing. Conduct short hikes to higher altitudes and return to base camp to sleep.

    Preparation for Ascent:

    Begin ferrying loads from Base Camp to Camp I. This involves moving equipment and supplies needed for the higher camps and summit attempt, reducing the load for the climb.

    Advance Preparation:

    Continue load ferrying, this time from Camp I to Summit Camp. This step is crucial for establishing a direct supply line for the summit attempt.

    Summit Day:

    Attempt the summit of Gangotri III from Summit Camp. Start early to utilize the stable morning weather. After the summit, descend back to Camp I for the night.

    Descend to Base Camp:

    Trek back down from Camp I to Base Camp. This descent allows your body to recover and start the process of returning to lower altitudes.

    Return to Gangotri:

    Trek from Base Camp back to Gangotri. Reflect on the expedition's challenges and achievements as you return to civilization.

    Journey Back:

    Ensure you carry these medicines with you, easily accessible always. Remember not to take any medicine unless you have consulted your trek leader.

    1. Diamox (1 Strip): An essential part of Live Saving Drugs, Diamox helps reduce the chances of Acute Mountain Sickness on the trek.
    2. Dolo 650 (5 tablets): A paracetamol that tackles fever and mild pain.
    3. Avomine (4 tablets): If you are prone to motion sickness, carry Avomine. Take one-half hour before the start of your road journey.
    4. Combiflam (5 tablets): Useful for sudden twists or muscle strains. Combiflam is a pain reliever containing paracetamol.
    5. Digene (4 tablets): Take it if you feel the food, you’ve consumed is undigested. Alert your trek leader immediately, as it could be a sign of AMS.
    6. ORS (6 packs): Consume an ORS pack at least once a day, usually mid-day during your trek. It replenishes essential salts lost while trekking. Tip: It also makes cold water easier to drink.
    7. Knee Brace (optional): Carry this if you are prone to knee injury or have known issues of knee pain.

    Our trek leaders carry a high-altitude medical kit, including Life Saving Drugs, and are trained to handle emergencies. Contact your trek leader before consuming any of these medicines.
