The trek to is Mt Black Peak Expedition considered difficult due to its high altitude and challenging terrain. Trekkers need to be well-prepared and physically fit to undertake the journey. Acclimatization is essential to avoid altitude-related illnesses.
It is a 16 Days and 15 Nights Trek starting from Sankri to Sankri.
Mt Black Peak Expedition is famous for its stunning Himalayan views, challenging trekking routes, and remote wilderness experience.
You can keep extra luggage in the base village for any particular trek. There are no cloak roo charges applicable. Its free of cost.
If you are going on a trek don’t expect mobile signals. There are few spots on the trails of few treks where you might find a single tower or something but it always depends if that is enough to make a call or not.
We use portable toilet tents for sanitation needs, as permanent structures may not available. These are dry toilets, so please bring wet wipes or tissue paper for personal hygiene.
For this trek you just need a day bag to carry during the trek, extra luggage can be left behind at the camp site. Proper bedded swiss tents are available on this trek.
Start running/walking at least 3-4 Kms everyday.
If it’s a snow trek a good trekking shoe is mandatory. If you buy a new shoe do walk for few days so that it fits you well and doesn’t leave you with blisters while you trek. If it is a summer trek or post monsoon trek a shoe with good grip and ankle support will do
It’s a strict no. If you fall sick during the trek due to alcohol consumption H2H has the right to cancel your trek and send you back to base village. No expenses shall be refunded in that case and you will have to pay additional for stay at base village.
Travel to Sankri, a quaint village that serves as the base camp for several treks in the region. It's an opportunity to soak in the serene environment and prepare for the trek ahead.
Trek from Sankri to Seema via Taluka, experiencing the lush landscapes and crossing through dense forests. Overnight stay in Seema allows for interaction with the locals and understanding the local way of life.
Continue the trek to Ruinsara Tal, a serene high-altitude lake known for its picturesque setting surrounded by meadows and towering peaks. Camping by the lake offers a peaceful end to the day.
Trek from Ruinsara Tal to Kyarkoti Base Camp, moving through alpine zones and getting closer to the majestic Himalayas. The base camp serves as a staging point for the expedition ahead.
Utilize this day for rest and acclimatization at Kyarkoti Base Camp. Short acclimatization hikes help in adapting to the altitude and preparing for the ascent.
This period marks the core of your expedition, involving ascending from Kyarkoti Base Camp towards your summit goal. The days should be planned based on the target peak, involving further acclimatization, route fixing, and possibly establishing additional camps depending on the objective's complexity.
After completing the expedition, trek back to Sankri. This is a time to reflect on the achievements and the moments spent amidst the Himalayas.
Having a reserve day is essential for handling any unforeseen delays or challenges encountered during the expedition phase. It provides flexibility to adjust plans based on weather conditions, health, or other critical factors.

Ensure you carry these medicines with you, easily accessible always. Remember not to take any medicine unless you have consulted your trek leader.
1. Diamox (1 Strip): An essential part of Live Saving Drugs, Diamox helps reduce the chances of Acute Mountain Sickness on the trek.
2. Dolo 650 (5 tablets): A paracetamol that tackles fever and mild pain.
3. Avomine (4 tablets): If you are prone to motion sickness, carry Avomine. Take one-half hour before the start of your road journey.
4. Combiflam (5 tablets): Useful for sudden twists or muscle strains. Combiflam is a pain reliever containing paracetamol.
5. Digene (4 tablets): Take it if you feel the food, you’ve consumed is undigested. Alert your trek leader immediately, as it could be a sign of AMS.
6. ORS (6 packs): Consume an ORS pack at least once a day, usually mid-day during your trek. It replenishes essential salts lost while trekking. Tip: It also makes cold water easier to drink.
7. Knee Brace (optional): Carry this if you are prone to knee injury or have known issues of knee pain.
