The trek to Deoria Tal is considered easy suitable for all types of trekers.
It is a 6 Days and 5 Nights Trek starting from Sari to Sari.
Deoria Tal is famous for its scenic beauty, tranquil reflections, spiritual significance, trekking opportunities, camping experiences, biodiversity, and cultural immersion.
You can keep extra luggage in the base village for any particular trek. There are no cloak roo charges applicable. Its free of cost.
If you are going on a trek don’t expect mobile signals. There are few spots on the trails of few treks where you might find a single tower or something but it always depends if that is enough to make a call or not.
We use portable toilet tents for sanitation needs, as permanent structures may not available. These are dry toilets, so please bring wet wipes or tissue paper for personal hygiene.
For this trek you just need a day bag to carry during the trek, extra luggage can be left behind at the camp site. Proper bedded swiss tents are available on this trek.
Start running/walking at least 3-4 Kms everyday.
If it’s a snow trek a good trekking shoe is mandatory. If you buy a new shoe do walk for few days so that it fits you well and doesn’t leave you with blisters while you trek. If it is a summer trek or post monsoon trek a shoe with good grip and ankle support will do
It’s a strict no. If you fall sick during the trek due to alcohol consumption H2H has the right to cancel your trek and send you back to base village. No expenses shall be refunded in that case and you will have to pay additional for stay at base village.
Leave Rishikesh in the morning and embark on a scenic drive to Sari, enjoying the journey through winding mountain roads and picturesque landscapes.
As you ascend into the Garhwal Himalayas, marvel at the changing scenery, from lush green valleys to towering peaks draped in mist.
Reach Sari, a quaint village nestled amidst terraced fields and surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Check-in to your accommodation and take some time to relax and unwind.
Spend the remainder of the day exploring the village, interacting with locals, and immersing yourself in the local culture. Take short walks to acclimatize to the altitude and prepare for the trek ahead.
After a hearty breakfast, begin your trek from Sari to Deoriatal, a beautiful lake nestled at an altitude of 2,438 meters (7,999 feet).
Follow the well-marked trail through dense forests of rhododendron, oak, and pine trees, listening to the melodious chirping of birds and the soothing sound of flowing streams.
Along the way, catch glimpses of snow-capped peaks peeking through the trees, creating a sense of anticipation for the stunning vistas that await you at Deoriatal.
Arrive at Deoriatal and set up camp by the pristine lake surrounded by towering peaks. As the sun sets, watch the colors dance on the surface of the water and marvel at the star-studded sky above.
Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the mountains before beginning your trek towards Syalmi.
Trek through the enchanting meadows of Rohini Bugyal, adorned with vibrant wildflowers in the spring and summer months.
As you gain altitude, pause to admire the panoramic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks, including Chaukhamba, Neelkanth, and Kedarnath.
Arrive at Syalmi and set up camp amidst the alpine meadows, surrounded by towering peaks and the sweet scent of mountain flowers. Enjoy a well-deserved rest and soak in the serenity of the Himalayas.
After breakfast, lace up your hiking boots and continue your trek towards Baniya Kund, a hidden gem tucked away in the mountains.
Trek through diverse terrain, from rocky ridges to lush forests, encountering waterfalls, streams, and perhaps even glimpses of wildlife along the way.
Arrive at Baniya Kund, a tranquil alpine lake surrounded by towering cliffs and verdant meadows. Set up camp by the lakeside and take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear waters.
Rise with the sun and begin your ascent towards Chandrashila, the summit of your trek.
Enroute, pay a visit to the ancient Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple in the world, and seek blessings for a safe and successful journey ahead.
Reach the summit of Chandrashila and be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Himalayan range stretching as far as the eye can see. Marvel at the beauty of nature and feel a sense of accomplishment as you stand atop this majestic peak.

Ensure you carry these medicines with you, easily accessible always. Remember not to take any medicine unless you have consulted your trek leader.
1. Diamox (1 Strip): An essential part of Live Saving Drugs, Diamox helps reduce the chances of Acute Mountain Sickness on the trek.
2. Dolo 650 (5 tablets): A paracetamol that tackles fever and mild pain.
3. Avomine (4 tablets): If you are prone to motion sickness, carry Avomine. Take one-half hour before the start of your road journey.
4. Combiflam (5 tablets): Useful for sudden twists or muscle strains. Combiflam is a pain reliever containing paracetamol.
5. Digene (4 tablets): Take it if you feel the food, you’ve consumed is undigested. Alert your trek leader immediately, as it could be a sign of AMS.
6. ORS (6 packs): Consume an ORS pack at least once a day, usually mid-day during your trek. It replenishes essential salts lost while trekking. Tip: It also makes cold water easier to drink.
7. Knee Brace (optional): Carry this if you are prone to knee injury or have known issues of knee pain.
